Montefalco is a magnificent ancient hilltown in Umbria, located eastern to the Martani hills northwest of Trevi.
The main piazza of Montefalco which is in the center of the town known as the Piazza della Repubblica you will find the Saint Agostino church; this is a medieval church, such as other churches in this town, Saint Clara and saint Illuminate, and saint Maria Magdalena.
The most important tourist attraction in Montefalco is the museum which is located inside the Church of Saint Francesco built in 1335. and contain quite a lot of items of archeological interest and some paintings of the most important Umbrian painters of the past.
Around Montefalco you can view the panoramic landscapes of Umbria valley below with the stunning olive groves and vineyards, as well as tasting in some of the local wineries the Sagrantino, Passito and Secco wines.
